BEA Executive Director Joins Treasury Freedman’s Bank Forum as Featured Speaker on Opportunities for Black Entrepreneurs

David Clunie, Executive Director of BEA, joins a discussion led by Treasury Department Counselor for Racial Equity Janis Bowdler with community advocates and equity stakeholders on the importance of economic opportunities for black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs. The discussion occurred during the Treasury Department’s annual Freedman’s Bank Forum focused on economic opportunity for minority and low-income communities. They also discussed access to investment capital, systemic biases in financial institutions, and the need for diversity in investment firms.
