WASHINGTON –– On June 17, the White House, in partnership with the Black Economic Alliance Foundation, Public Private Strategies, and other key partners, including administration leaders Senior Advisor to the President Mayor Steve Benjamin, Director of the Domestic Policy Council of the United States Neera Tanden, Deputy Secretary of Commerce Don Graves, Congressional Black Caucus Chair Steven Horsford, Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Wally Adeyamo, and Counselor to the Secretary of Commerce Ines Hernandez, convened a closed-door meeting with top business leaders from major American companies and civil rights organizations to discuss expanding pathways to economic opportunity for all Americans. The convening highlighted BEA Foundation’s Harris Poll, which showed overwhelming support for businesses taking active steps to reflect the racial diversity of the country, and  Architecture for Action, a suite of data-backed solutions for the private and philanthropic sectors to use in advancing Black economic opportunity. The meeting underscored the shared commitment of participants to creating a more equitable economic landscape for Black Americans — and, in turn, a stronger economy for all Americans.
